ixHammer

. . . Welcome . . .

What can ixHammer do for me?   Well ixHammer is a community base for the promotion of local file sharing.   Promoting locals sharing of files, helps to reduce the demand of data at long distance and therefore improving world access and latency to game servers, etc.

How can I become apart of the ixHammer community?

A
You need to be using internet provisioning that
is Comindico Australia based or any other
AusIX ISP connected to Comindico,
as all other traffic is blocked.

Theses networks include
Nationwide Comindico Resellers
VicIX ISP's / VicIXMule / WAIX extended Community

Both DSL and 56K users welcome!
(Currently VIXMule separate
community block 56Kers)

B
You need to download the client

Firewall Information

Am I behind a firewall?  Well anyone with a modem connected through their network card or a non standard straight connection to the computer are behind a physical data barrier called a firewall.   Software firewalls are also able to cause a barrier and these include the default XP firewall and other software protection.

If you do not correctly setup your software / hardware firewall you will experience a lot of problems and slow connections.

(Here is a list of standard ports used.  Obviously these ports will be different if you modify the clients defaults.)
Edit these in your Router Modem Configuration or in your Software firewall settings.
The IP used in most Port Forwarding Tables is the IP of the Network Card in the computer running the client.

NetCard = Network Card Nearest Computer running the Client

Extras and Important Notes

Note: Only allocate up to 75% of your upload bandwidth so as to balance any packet management.
 Set this in "Settings>Uploads".

Note : This application is tailored to suit unlimited DSL Plans!  Some IP ranges are not totally within free
allocation ranges on some non Comindico ISP's.  Even though it would be rare to get non Comindico or non AusIX
traffic, we do not take any responsibility and is solely your choice to use this application.

At anytime you don't want to share on the closed community, simply change the "Default Policy" in in the
security area of the client.   Press "F7" for the security page.  Mouse menu to change the default policy to "Allow".
